Font - This is a new one, anyone ever encounter something like this? I'm like 6'1 and a bigger dude. As a primer. First of all, I work at a breakfast place and right off the bat they wanted to know how much they could customize.
  • 02
Font - That was their first question. I told them that pretty much within reason I could accommodate anything they liked. I try to do good by my tables. It's my job to make sure they are happy. Then the fun started. "Can I get half of this item, and half of this item?"

Font - Uhhhh, I've never been asked for anyone to do that before. Should have picked my words better I guess, but let's try to work this out. Suggest they order a whole of one of the items, and a side of the main ingredients of the other item they wanted, in an attempt to accommodate them(eggs Benedict).

Font - Then, they wanted a half order of something that we don't have a half order of. Okay, cool. I was able to do that for them by navigating my POS and finding the individual items and just doing two of them. Okay. Solved that problem.

Font - After that, they order an LTO item. I put the order in and check with the kitchen. We are out of the LTO. I go and get a replacement item, and give them an item that costs like 4 dollars more to make them happy. Only it didn't make them happy.

Font - I go to run the food out, and the place I work at discourages big trays. Like they don't have them. So I bring out the first of the food, and the table is absolutely irate. Because I didn't bring out the side item exactly when I brought out the food, the dude started

Font - to talk s to me and told me to "go get his food now." I laughed at him. It was a nervous laugh, but I shouldn't have done it. Meanwhile, they also asked for another round of refills. Which was the third round of refills in this ten minute

Font - interaction for everyone at the table, including waters and another drink, and I ALSO HAVE OTHER TABLES. My manager ran the last of the food out, and they told the manager that I sucked and they wanted another

Font - server. I've never had this happen before. The same day I had someone tell my host I gave them the best service they ever had. I wouldn't care, but they called corporate and looked up my record

Font - somehow and told corporate I'm a f on and they should fire me. What in the actual fi k did I do wrong besides go to work that day?

Font - gammawalt 14 hr. ago People just suck. I had a table send in a complaint that after they ordered 1lbs of snow crab legs they sat for 20 min
  • 12
Font - pulling all the meat out and making it into a cute little pile they asked for it to go after about another 20min of eating everything but the crab. The complaint was the crab was cold when they got home.

Font - vickrockafeller. 13 hr. ago It's terrible to deal with a miserable group of ba ds for an hour, but they have to live with themselves their whole lives. Must be exhausting to be so upset about everything all day. 48 Reply Share

Font - On Aromatic_Difference8 10 hr. ago Lady calls in and I look up her bank account. We start discussing transactions and stuff about her account. I did place her on hold a couple of times throughout
  • 19
Font - the call as I needed to either speak with another department or a supervisor to further assist her. Total call time about 25 min.
  • 20
Font - My POV: this is a normal call, my tone & volume are the same. I'm not showing any emotion besides my normal happy self. The same I do for every call.
  • 21
Font - Well this lady decides to "give me a piece of unsolicited advice". Her words...apparently to her she felt I had an attitude like I didn't want to assist her, she felt I was rude & that I need better training as a customer service rep.
  • 22
Font - Taken aback I said "well ma'am I apologize you feel that way but that's not my intentions or demeanor, I'll discuss this with my supervisor". Now I said that to acknowledge that she felt I wronged her somehow and my manager will review the call to see where my mistake was.
  • 23
Font - .....& that set her off even more "see now you making it seem like I'm a ng you for how I felt you treated me" "reality is perception & the reality is you aren't good at your job"
  • 24
Font - Meanwhile my manager's voicemail is full of people leaving me kudos. You did nothing wrong, sometimes people just be peopling 4 ↓ Reply Share
